Underfunded has officially entered rehearsals and begins filming on October 3, 2026.

Created by Saulo Castillo and Mike Ahern, Underfunded is a workplace mockumentary about the beautiful chaos of keeping an under-resourced arts nonprofit alive. The project is moving from development into production, with the team now rehearsing, preparing scenes, and building toward the first filming dates.

The series draws from the lived reality of nonprofit arts spaces, where big visions, tiny budgets, impossible deadlines, and deep community care all somehow coexist in the same collapsing calendar invite.
