The Park Band

A BIPOC core band built for collaboration.

Hip-Hop, Neo-Soul, Jazz, and Afro-diasporic music. We collaborate with artists of any race; the core stays BIPOC.

Bio

Founded in 2020. Built in Rhode Island.

Founded in 2020, The Park Band is a Rhode Island-based collective of BIPOC musicians that blend hip-hop, neo-soul, and live instrumentation. Managed under The Park Studios, the band is the creative heartbeat of a growing ecosystem that nurtures artists, amplifies authentic voices, and redefines collaboration in the modern music industry.

Rooted in a deep respect for Black musical traditions, The Park Band fuses live instrumentation with intricate lyricism and improvisational elements, creating a sonic experience that bridges past and future. Their music speaks to the complexities of love, resilience, and the everyday triumphs of life, offering listeners a space to vibe, reflect, and move.

Music aside, The Park Band is shaping a new industry model, where emerging artists receive the resources and education needed to thrive. Through Writer’s Block, the band’s flagship songwriting incubator, they provide opportunities for songwriters and producers to contribute to their catalog while learning the ins and outs of sync licensing, royalty collection, and branding. Writer’s Block also helps artists build careers by teaching them how to create professional electronic press kits, set up and manage social media and streaming profiles, and navigate the business side of the industry.

With their debut five-song EP set for release, The Park Band is making music and building a community. Each song is a testament to their commitment to artistry, authenticity, and innovation across the Afro-diasporic musical landscape.
